  • Jersey Shore Time! Without all the shenanigans though

Its that time of the year you guys!

The time when myself and some of my friends enjoy vacationing together and and hang out in various locales for no other
reason than sheer enjoyment. I personally usually only go for about a day as I need to check up on my gran from time to
time. However some like to stay all week long. Last year, I went and there was a lot of shenanigainery thought and I thought
I'd post a few points and pose the question: should I stay the week or not?

Point One: There was alot of drinking last year. I mean ALOt. We bought at least 2 cases of Lionshead and over 10 bottles of
hard liqour. I myself enjoyed lots of Rum and Coffee ice cream as well as Root Liquer and Root Beer, however I found it
harder and harder to put them back as the week moved forward. I gave up drinking for Lent so I'm not sure I'm ready for a
    repeat.

Point Two: Gaming. My group of friends and I game alot (though my gaming has gone down significantly over the past 3 years)
and it was the main activity we engaged in. Now I like SF4 and Tetris Attack as much as the next guy, but how about a group
movie night to break up the monotony?

Point Three: The mayo incident. A few people decided to put a mayonnaise laden trap on some people whilst they slumbered.
That however backfired and the next day there was so much ranting and raving that I think it may have hurt a few people (one
of my boys was told STFU for the first time). I like pranks and trolling alot so I don't like it if something goes too far. I want to
    avoid that at all costs.

I think this year we've talked and laughed about much of this but I'm not sure if it is all behind everyone. Give me your thoughts
and I'll be sure to let you know how everything goes!

  • Cyber Countenance

Xanga, its been a long time since my last blog, however, I'll try my best to write something worth a modicum of interest.

    Hello everyone!

I haven't written on the old blog since 09 (but I have still been here) but I've decided to come back. Why? Web Prescence or as
I have dubbed it "Cyber Countenance". Everyone should have it in this day and age. That along with the fact that I'm on Xanga
at least three times a week makes it harder for me to NOT post. With that in mind lets get to it.

Recently my brother called me (a rare treat) and we spoke about his gaming website. As I am seen as the computer guy in some with
some of my friends, I understand why he chose me to ask for assistance. However I have to admit when it comes to computers, I am
not anything near a genius. As a matter of fact, I don't have my own in my house or internet (I use school or job to post for those asking).
So this led me to a sort of dilemma. What can I do to assist my brother? The answer was simple. While I am not a tech kid, I am something
    of a stat man.

Psych taught me how to gather, process, and infer from data I've gathered. To that end I have a question for my fellow
Xangans: What do you think is the best route for helping my brother? I'm at a bit of a loss but your help would be much appreciated.

  • Feeling like I've Been HAXXD!

As many of you can tell by my previous post I've been away for a while.
Personally, I like to post at least once a week and I check my sub digest so I can leave comments later on.

However the worst possible thing that could have happened to me (in terms of XangaLife) did:

    I totally lost my password.

I don't mean like kinda forgot it. I mean I used this pword in rotation and it didn't work. There aren't many passwords that I like to use, mainly due to the fact that I will forget them. The accounts that need higher security will of course get a higher clearance password but my xanga gets a simple one so as to be easier to recall later on. However over the past month or so, I've been having a struggle to get my pword back and every time I sent in the request i wouldn't see it for like a month and I was wondering what was happening.

Then I discovered the issue: the Xanga Password change emails were being sent to my spam box. Yeah I know a true American travesty. Hey it happens. Well currently as it stands I still have a few accounts in limbo as I don't know the e-mail accounts for them... Well wish me luck in unlocking them all!

BTW I missed alot of the funny going on but that should all change soon!

  • This semester is offically legit.

Been over a month since the last blog and I am none to happy about that fact. I've been commenting and even pulsing once in a whiles, but nothing big has come out.

well, prepare for some underwhelming fun kids!

I'm officially in love/enmity with J-Board. You know J-Board, that group of people who hears all those discipline cases and then decides the fate of respective students. Yeah, that's me.

Bombed my first test and paper respectively. Then read a bunch of articles, and finally went to my first college friend party of the semester. So yeah, its official, this semester is now legit.

Well GTG I have a anotehr case today. Talk to you guys later.

  • Alcohol: Truly Bad for the britches!

Good humo day my fellow xangans.

I've been doing alot of "research" lately for my podcast, and guess what?
The other day I ran into a table listing calories for basically all of the alcohol
that many peoples consume. I was none to shocked at the amounts, but yeah.

Okay so heres the deal. Almost all hard liquor has the same amount of calories for its respective proof (i.e. Tequila = Vodka)
    With out further ado:
    1 Fluid ounce  - one shot - (1 oz):

    80 Proof (40% by volume): 70 calories
    90 Proof (45% by volume): 79 calories
    100 Proof (50% by volume): 85 calories

Now for liquer (i.e schnapps, triple sec) its much more comlpicated. With so many to name, I'll give the most popular:

    Triple Sec:
    Schnapps : 1.5 ounces - 150 calories
    Drambuie: 135 calories
    Southern Comfort: 120 per Ounce - 240 for 2.0oz
    Anisette: 100 calories
    Apricot Brandy :  82 calories
    B&B:  95 calories
    Benedictine: 95 calories
    Campari : 98 calories
    Coffee Liqueur: 155 cal
Creme de Banane : 125 cal
Creme de Cacao (White and Dark): 135 cal
Creme de Cassis : 100 cal
Creme de Menthe (Green and White) --- 170 cal
    Curacao : 85 - 90 calories
    Kirsh:  100 calories
    Pernod: 100 calories
    Sloe Gin: 100 calories
    Southern Comfort --- 160 cal
    Tia Maria --- 120 cal

    Dry Vermouth --- 115 cal
    Sweet Vermouth --- 150 cal
    Sherry --- 95 cal
    Port (Ruby) --- 165 cal
    Port (White) --- 150 cal
